Classroom Speaking
Visit students in their classrooms to discuss your industry and career path and offer advice
Field Trips
Plan a student visit to your workplace to allow students to interact with professionals, learn about your organization, and experience your industry firsthand
Career Day
Multiple businesses set up stations for students to meet with employers and learn about different industries and professions
Job Shadowing
Students meet with employees at their worksite to learn about professional conduct and the real-world application of education and skills
Internships
Students work for an employer for a specified period of time to learn job skills and the inner workings of a particular company or industry
Workplace Mentoring
Employees partner with a student or small group of students to guide them along their educational and career path within the context of the workplace - often done in conjunction with internships
A Pillar partnership is an agreement between a school and a business or organization to work collaboratively to enrich and enhance student learning.
